Parents of Mirra early intervention group gathered at Mirra on July 12th Friday 2019 to hear a lecture demonstration by Ms Aarti Rajaratnam. Ms. Aarti had the parents look beyond their children’s medical description and connect with them at their playful best. With witty repartees and interesting anecdotes she made the parents don their thinking caps, relive their childhood moments and promise to offer such precious gifts to their children. She laid down basic locomotor skills that had a profound connection with the brain and impact on speech, communication and learning domains.
Ms. Aarti made sure the audience understood her talk by way of demonstrations, and insisted on active participation. She extensively quoted from her practice of educator and counsellor and shared her best practices to enable the parents carry home her message.
