A sunny Sunday morning got brighter all the more when a group of Mirra parents and the team attended a webinar on oromotor function and home based strategies on the same by Ms Rashi Shetty .
Ms .Rashi Shetty has been practising for the past 10 years and is a certified oral placement therapist as well. She caters mostly to the paediatric population in the autism spectrum.
Her webinar began with a presentation on the structural components of the oromotor cavity and their role in feeding, articulation and speech. With video demonstrations and using oral tools at hand she helped the audience understand how they can facilitate tongue movement and speech sounds.
The session ended with our empowered parents clarifying doubts and queries with respect to their wards and Raashi expertly offering practical and pertinent answers to each of their questions.
