Yoga is a way of life, a state of being in the present, here and now.
In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali refers to yoga as “chitta-vritti-nirodha”. In other words, Yoga is the way in which we can quieten the fluctuations of mind. It offers a path of self-discovery with a clear awareness and unification of mind, body and soul.
Yoga is neither goal oriented nor competitive. Even in a class full of people, it remains individual practice. Yoga in its true form encourages the practitioner to go inward, while staying with their breath to move through the Yogasanas with fluid grace and complete awareness. Going only as far as it feels good. Yoga aids in development of self-awareness, decreases anxiety and depression and improves balance of body and mind.
We at Mirra believe Yoga can immensely help our students in becoming strong in body and mind. We offer Yoga session to Parents of our students, so that they can share and enjoy their journey into the world of Yoga and reap its benefits as a family.
