On 29th and 30th of July ,it was SEE at Mirra - Sensory Experience Exhibition - our annual event, which had students and parents engage their senses through the Arts.
With textured painting, coffee art, flower rangoli et al our facilitators ensured that the participants had a wide range of sensory stimulation and satisfaction. Potato cubes were model houses and 3d creations, bookmarks of fragrant flowers and I spy bottles were activities in our taste ,smell and vision stations .
Puppet plays, bubble art and fabric collage were woven into a story while musical rhythms and beatbox sounds led us to explore sound from a marble to mundane articles such as pots and pans!!
Kinetic art and its many avatars made us move and show navarasas with our whole body while a dozen sarees seemed a colourful prop to weave in movement for one and all !!
Over the two days - beautiful to SEE the myriad ways in which our senses provide scope for development, language, learning and function. He'arty loads of learning and sharing !
